Werner Kruse is a filmmaker, photographer, and polar expedition guide with over two decades of experience exploring more than 130 countries. His filmmaking journey began in Cape Town in 2004, followed by professional film editing certification in Los Angeles. Since 2018, Werner has completed over 100 polar voyages across both the Arctic and Antarctic, serving as an Assistant Expedition Leader, photographer, and guide.

Expedition Films

On every polar voyage, Werner crafts dedicated expedition films and photography collections. By weaving these mediums into a single narrative record, he captures the defining moments, raw energy, and natural wonders of Earth's final frontiers.

Production Credits

Werner's extensive background spans television, independent documentaries, commercials, and corporate productions, with a strong focus on African wildlife and expedition filmmaking. His feature documentary, "The Boy from the Wild," premiered at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The film was nominated at both the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival and the Hollywood First Time Filmmakers Showcase, continuing its run through the international festival circuit.

His portfolio highlights an independent documentary streaming on Amazon Prime Video alongside international media releases, including a National Geographic feature showcasing his photography of Gentoo penguins.
